Appleton - a place that few tourist see because it is a off the beaten coastal path but it is remarkable how little it is changed since the 1930s - so I was told by a venerable man born there - although I was also told in the same breath that less trees and more tilled land surrounded the farm houses. Your photographs brings back memories of midcoast Maine - not an easy place to withstand all year round - but a beautiful one. Karen A.
